Trying out Liquid Neutrogena

For some odd reason, there was no Cetaphil in the Mercury Drugstore near my house (maybe it was in the prescription drugs section?), and since I was in a hurry, I just picked up a bottle of Liquid Neutrogena facial wash and crossed my fingers that it would be kind to my skin.
It seemed promising enough as it is described as a "pure mild facial cleanser" and is fragrance-free to boot. Oooohhh...me likey.
Shower Scene
There really is no need to elaborate on the innate differences between men and women. You only have to look at their shower paraphernalia to see that there is indeed a great divide.
Here are my shower stuff.

Going Natural with Jergens Naturals Daily Moisturizers
*Disclosure- Product was provided by the brand for review purposes.

If you were to ask me what my least favorite product would be the answer would probably be lotion. The only time I really appreciated lotion was when I went to the US during the dead of winter. Back then I used to apply lotion religiously because it meant saving my skin from horrible winter itch.
But the same does not hold true in our muggy archipelago. I let my bottles of (mostly pasalubong) lotion pile up without a care because no way will I be slathering them on only to feel hot and sticky a few minutes later. However, going around this whole summer clad primarily in flipflops has taken a toll on my feet. Dry? Check! Ashy? Check! Looks like we need some big time intervention here.

my bad.
they've always said that an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. unfortunately, while i believe in it, i failed to act on it. and so i came back from my weekend at the beach burned to a crisp.
boo. i am fat and burned. i feel like a lechon at a fiesta. kulang na lang, apple.
all self-mockery aside, my skin's present state is horrible. i am sunburned, and days after i got back, i still feel slight pain on my back and shoulders. my face is peeling like crazy, including my ears.
and in case you were wondering, i did apply sunblock, i just forgot to re-apply.
since i couldn't do the past over, i thought i'd do the next best thing: take care of my skin. so i trooped over to watson's megamall and tried looking for something that'll (1) fix (2) cure (3) alleviate my sunburn.
Summer Eats with the Dove Go Fresh Menu

I was invited to a Dove launch at Chelsea and I expected to be presented with the latest product offerings from Dove. However, instead of a new range of soap or body washes, we were made to partake from the Dove Go Fresh Summer Skin Cuisine Menu.
Ummm...body wash salad dressing anyone?
But thankfully, the Dove menu is an actual food menu (devoid of soap shavings or other hygiene related concoctions) inspired by the ingredients of the Dove Go Fresh line, namely lemongrass, grapefruit, cucumber and green tea.
