Books

Provenciana by Apol Lejano-Massebieau

When she started her blog Provenciana a few years back, I wonder if Apol Lejano-Massebieau had an inkling that it would eventually be made into a book one day?

I regularly lurked at her blog when it was still up and her blog posts were always so well-written and well thought of, almost as if they were just waiting to be printed on paper. Which brings me to conclude that themed blogs are really the best, because of the discipline you impose on yourself to stick to your subject and to avoid those meandering "What did I do today" posts (ouch.)

Happiness for Cheap

It's funny how now that I'm working again, I can't seem to get myself excited over shoes, gadgets and makeup a.k.a. the things I used to drool over when I was unemployed. I guess that's what a 9.6 hour work day can do to you:p

True, I still want that Canon G10, but somewhow, the fervor for a new camera has significantly ebbed. These days, I find my thrills in the most trivial things.

Winner of the "Floundering at 25: A Younglife Crisis" Book Contest

I will have to be perfectly candid and say that of all the contests we have had in Kikay Exchange, this contest is my favorite one to date. It was very refreshing to read about the thoughts of our KE readers, instead of me just blabbing away like I usually do:p

Here's to more intelligent exchanges in the future!

And with that, read on to find out who won a copy of "Floundering at 25: A Younglife Crisis"

I had almost forgotten how it was like until Michelle Meneses, author of "Floundering at 25: A Younglife Crisis" reminded me of my own bout with quarter life crisis. The feelings of uncertainty brought about by no longer being in a structured environment and the slight terror of knowing that I was actually in charge of my life from now on, came crashing in once more. Ah, sweet independence. Now get me out of here.

Green is the New Black

I was chatting with my friend Chico a couple of months back and we were discussing the direction where fashion and lifestyle is heading. You know typical girly stuff, but this time, with a sense of social and environmental awareness. Naks! Haha! We've noticed, anywhere you go these days, you're bound to encounter something green...
