More proof of my lack in EQ. Last month, I rushed out of the house without sunblock or moisturizer on because I was late for mass. In my world, it's a sin to run out into the world sans sunblock or moisturizer. My combination skin tends to make me pay for such infractions via blemishes, flaking, and or acne. So after family lunch at the mall, I decided to try some tinted moisturizer. I've been looking for tinted moisturizer for a while anyway. After 7 months of work, I've learned that I neither have the time or energy to put on make up daily, yet work requires that I look a little more polished. The plan was to walk in, ask for my shade, try the tester and walk out. Unfortunately (fortunately) I walked into Shiseido and ended up walking away with a whole tube of The Skincare Tinted Moisture Protection SPF 20 moisturizer instead.

Aside from being healthy and completely natural, I love mineral makeup because it is fairly idiot-proof. As long as you've got the right foundation shade and the right brush - sweeping and buffing on mineral make up foundation is easy. I managed to get my hands on a couple idiot proof mineral make up items last weekend at the lifestyle bazaar. (Thank you Arcie!) Here's one of my favorite items from that mini shopping spree.

While most people devote their last month of the year to consuming large amounts of designer coffee to obtain a planner - I prefer the path of least resistance. I like to shop or wait for corporate giveaways. Both options require less time, money, effort, and let's not forget - fewer calories. Yes, there are a slew of OTHER planners sitting on store shelves waiting for you to scribble your life in appointments, notes, musings and expletives in their pages.

One of the cutest ones I've come across is the 4Eggs planner. Slightly, smaller than standard sized planners - this absolutely cheery alternative is bound to fit in your handbag or office tote.
