Listen to Dr. Norma Respicio talk about Philippine textile weaving traditions at Yuchengco Museum on Saturday, October 24, at 3 p.m. Or visit the museum for free, where there is a lobby exhibit on antique rare fabrics, among other exciting shows.

Makati Rotary Club 22nd Christmas Bazaar @ Renaissance Hotel
By way of tradition, the Rotary Club of Makati will once again be staging its annual Christmas Bazaar. On its 22nd year run, this bazaar earned for itself a reputation for being one of the best, most-attended event in Manila. This year, proceeds will go to the club's relief effort for the rehabilitation of the flood victims and to other humanitarian projects. This event will be on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2009 at the RENAISSANCE HOTEL (formerly New World Hotel across Greenbelt 3)
Shoppers who will attend will find choice quality items, some of which are not available in other stores and regular-run bazaars. A raffle every hour will add to the excitement at this event. And, the best part is that, as you reach into your pocket to spend for yourself and your family, you are also giving something to charity.
