Of Self-Love and Valentine's Day

Ok, so I know Valentine's Day is long over and done with, but I just had to share what the person who loved me most got me.

Cute right? But who is this mysterious person I am referring to? That would be me.

That's right, I got myself a Swatch watch and I couldn't be happier. Thanks Jill!

And in case someone out there is wondering, my hubby got me the best gift ever. As in when I received it, I couldn't stop smiling because it just showed he really listened to me and understood me the best. I'm kind of embarassed to share what it is, because it's not romantic at all, but if you read my personal finance blog then you'll probably have an idea what he got me.

Regarding the person who loves me the most bit, I'm actually not kidding. The first time I heard "The Greatest Love of All", I thought it was silly. Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all? Huh?!

But as I grew older and got caught up with all sorts of insecurities, I realized that the best gift of all is self-acceptance and that I will never learn to love someone else if I don't wholeheartedly embrace myself. So now I am my biggest fan and firmly preach the gospel of self-love (Yay Jill! Way to go Jill!).

Now give yourself a pat on the back and tell yourself that you rock. Because you really do.
