K-Palette 1Day Lash Perm Long Curl Mascara
*Disclosure: Product provided for review.
Mascara is one of those low skill, high impact items that lazy girls such as myself have come to embrace wholeheartedly. I have puppy-dog looking, bordering on sad, eyes which magically perk up with just a few swipes of mascara, so mascara is one of my most trusted weapons in my very slim beauty artillery.
I received three tubes of different K-Palette mascaras a few months ago and I've been using the 1Day Lash Perm Long Curl Mascara (Php895) exclusively for the past few weeks, thus, it's time for my two cents on the product.
First, things first, my lashes didn't curl upwards as promised by that sparkly drawing on the side of the box.
That was actually quite disappointing, but really, can a mascara by itself have the same effect as curling your lashes? I'm not as well-versed with makeup as the other beauty bloggers out there, but I honestly doubt it. Simple physics will tell you that you can't pile stuff on top of anything and expect that thing to rise. Unless it's the house in UP! of course.
Aside from the lack of perm effect, I was generally happy with the 1Day Lash Perm's performance. It beefed up my sparse lashes to create the illusion of a thicker and darker, yet natural looking fringe, while the waterproof formula ensured that no mascara smudged or travelled down my face even when the weather was at its humidest (yes, I made up that word).
Although waterproof, it's easy to remove with cleansing oil (I use Celeteque now) and no lashes were sacrificed with the mascara removal process.
This is a better than average mascara, although I must admit that I was more impressed with K-Palette's eyeliners and concealer, because if something says that it will give me permed lashes, then you can bet I will hold it to its word and demand permed lashes.
