Barcelona ranks right up there in my places to visit before I kick the bucket, so this Shine Big in Barcelona contest from Sun Life Financial-Philippines could not have come at a better time.

Up for grabs is a 3 day, all expenses paid (excluding pocket money) vacation to Barcelona, Spain and all you have to do is refer 4 friends to earn one online raffle ticket.

Since nothing really comes for free, including all-expenses paid vacations, the catch is that the friends you refer will receive a pitch to become a Sun Life financial adviser, but they can opt out of the mailing list any time. Here's the scoop on what it's like to become a Sun Life financial adviser:

I've been a very happy Sun Life customer for more than a year now and I believe that much of my satisfaction stems from the fact that I get along with my financial adviser so well (Hi Ken!). My financial adviser (who also happens to be single...) plays the violin, teaches a foreign language, dabbles in Parkour, hosts a TV show and has a pretty impressive stock portfolio. How does he manage to do all that? It's because he's not tied to a desk as a financial adviser and so he has the luxury to pursue his hobbies, as well as the ladies... :)

Kidding aside though, I think if you have a genuine interest in people (read: machika) then you should consider becoming a financial adviser, don't worry if you're not well-versed in financial jargon, that's the easy part.
