Night Scented Jasmine

I was going through some stuff last week when I unearthed these perfume samples given to me in some events and as GWP (gift with purchase). Incidentally, Adora gives out the best GWPs. No puny testers grudgingly given to you by the sales associate (hello Rustan's!).

I tried out the Night Scented Jasmine from Floris London and I was immediately hooked with this soft and musky floral. I don't normally go for florals because I have always associated them with extremes. They're either too pink and cloying (for tweens and teens) or too heavy (for grannies), but there was something about the Night Scented Jasmine that drew me in from the first whiff.

Here's the skinny on Night Scented Jasmine from the Floris London website:

"Vibrant green notes of violet leaf and blackcurrant buds introduce the radiant bouquet of white flowers with jasmine underscored by a complex harmony of gardenia, neroli and ylang ylang. Warmed by touches of rose and mimosa, the floral heart is sustained by long lasting soft musks, sweet amber and sandalwood base notes.

Top Notes: citrus, green, mandarin, neroli, violet leaf

Heart Notes: gardenia, iris, jasmine, lily, mimosa, narcissus, rose, ylang ylang

Base Notes: amber, musk, sandalwood, vetiver "

Definitely not sampaguita-ish.

I've been using it sparingly because I only have a vial of this blessed scent and 100ml retails for GBP69 (or Php3879). It's actually a mid-priced perfume (as opposed to Bond No.9 which is in the lower 5 digits), but it's probably 30%-50% more expensive in Adora because of the luxury tax and other evil add-ons. In short, I don't want to know and I have no business knowing. For now.

Some girls swoon over bags, some over shoes, I like to sniff perfume bottles. To each her own and walang basagan ng trip.
