Philpost Update

Here's an update on my Asos order.
WALA. NADA. NONE.
It's been 2 months and 20 days since I placed my order and had it shipped via regular post (i.e. Philippine post), and up to now, there's still no sight of my dress from Asos.
But at least my glass beads from Israel came a few weeks ago.
So now Phil Post has a 50-50 batting average with me. However those are odds that I'm not comfortable with. Thus, goodbye forever Phil Post.
And I hope whoever stole my dress gets a permanent wedgie.

wow based on your comments im wondering if i will still order in ASOS sayang nmn......
Yeah, I've learned my lesson and won't use Philpost ever again for buying things abroad.
Hi, I also ordered some items online a couple of weeks ago and still haven't received them. Should I be alarmed? :( Were you able to find a way to get the dress?
Hi Cza,
I'm sorry but I never did get my dress from ASOS. But don't lose hope because I know some people who got their package from ASOS. Maybe you won't share my luck :)
Hey there,
My girlfriend ordered a bunch of stuff from ASOS over the past week. Did you ever get your dress? :0 Did you need help from someone inside the post office? Please let me know, thanks!
hey,
I just got a card from the post office, that my package from asos is already there. I was just wondering if there are any added charges before I could get my package. I just bought something worth 1500 and I am afraid that there will be additional charges to be paid. Help me please!! Thanks :)
Hi Jes,
I got charged Php1,200 for a Php2,000++ package, so expect the worst. Read post here: http://kikay.exchange.ph/node/4752
Although in this forum I read, some only got charged the Php40 postal fee. Who knows, you might be one of the lucky ones. I'm crossing my fingers for you!
Hi Sarie,
Nope, never got my dress but at least I got my beads. Didn't want to ask for help from any Philpost employee anymore because (1) I don't know any Philpost employee and (2) I wanted to see if my package would get to me using the normal route.
Kinda sad you still haven't got your package. And to think dress lang naman siya. Anyway, as for my package. I'm happy that it arrived on time but with the taxes I need to pay? Medyo nag dalawang isip ako ng konti.
Will contact @angelamhiere via twitter to check and see if she can help me with my tax issue. I'm not sure kasi if correct yung computation or may nangyayari ng corruption.
Read your blog post and Php1,000++ is a lot nga! That's 25-30% no? But if your dad gets issued an OR, then for sure the taxes are legit. The taxes in this country are just unbelievable, and what's even more painful is that a whole chunk of that probably just gets hoovered by our friendly politicians :(
aww man! really!?!
i was really hoping philpost would pull through.
I have LONG wanted to purchae from ASOS with their free shipping but this is a major stumbling block. =(
this is sad news for me. sayang..
I'm still bummed about it myself :(
same thing happened to me!! haha,, remember all those items i ordered via ebay? there are 3 and I already got the 2, but the last one didn't came, according to the seller, it was returned because no one claimed it!! so they are sending it back, crossing my fingers again,, :)
That's a 66.67% success ratio with a possibility of 100% success! I'm crossing my fingers for you too :)
Thanks for all the replies! I really appreciate the offers of help, but I wanted to see how the PhilPost will perform on a regular transaction, without help from any insider.
My dad-in-law (to be) works in the Philpost Central (Main, Manila Office)... he helps in finding out who steals stuff from the recipients... I wish the parcel is there... you can check the tracking number if you have it... He always pick up my parcels for me... I wish I could help you... You can contact me on twitter, @angelamhiere or, email me... I am a member of your site... ^__^
awwww, so sorry to hear about this Jill.... that dress is so cute pa naman :(
Hi Jill, you might want to get in touch with my good friend, Paulie, who's working at Philpost - 0920xxxxxx. He just might have a few magic tricks up his sleeve. :D Ciao! (Note: Phone number removed to protect the person from unwanted calls - Jill)
