Going Gaga Over Dresses

I remember coming up with a New Year's resolutions list for 2010 and it included wearing more dresses this year. Well, I haven't been exactly faithful with that resolution until recently when I noticed my usual shorts and pants getting tighter around the butt and thighs areas. And so instead of breaking out my running shoes and joining the whole country in its current craze, I just lessened my rice intake and started wearing more dresses. Much, much easier than training for a 21 kilometer run:p
The first dress I bought was from Promod using the Php2,500 gift certificates I received for joining the Promod blogger challenge.

I first tried on the size 6 (my usual dress size) and though it fit, it was a little too snug in the stomach area. I then tried on the size 12 (the next size available) and it was now loose in the midsection but since the dress could be adjusted at the back that proved to be no problem.

I snapped it up for Php1,995 and used the remainder of my GCs to buy a gray shirt.
The next dress I bought was this outrageously floral number (again a maxi dress) from a roving vendor in Bas Dako, Moalboal.

So there we were enjoying the beach and ignoring the different vendors walking by when this girl started spreading out shirts and dresses in front of us. I was immediately attracted to the maxi dress and after some quick bargaining, called it mine for Php450.
Check out the feather detail.

Don't you just love the granny floral print?! It's so perfect for a gaudy sofa:p

I'm still in the mood for more dresses, ironic I know because the rainy season is now upon us, so I might just storm my favorite ukay2x soon for some major shopping without throwing our household budget into a deep depression.

I wish I could wear dresses here in Baguio. I love wearing summer dresses too. Unfortunately, it's already the rainy season here so wearing dresses is no longer practical. Hays...
Lots of love,
Hi Golden,
But the rainy season means we can wear layers once again! But you live in Baguio so I'm sure you're sick of dressing in layers by now:p
i got the black one of the same style in promod! :)
that dress from moalboal is really nice! i found many maxi dresses in ruins the last time i was there, you should check it out.
Oh nice! Throwback to our Annie dress days!:p
oo nga! haha
i love the dress we got in promod. it's very bohemian and hippie chic. we could almost put a flower wreath on our head and butterflies will follow us wherever we go.
Let's wear that in Fiji!!! Hopefully in 1-2 years time:p
Let's go universe!!
I love dresses too! Kaya lang I'm too fat for dresses now. Grrr!!! I love mini-dresses naman. :)
I like mini dresses too but maxi dresses are more convenient for those stubbly legs days:p
