Going Natural with Jergens Naturals Daily Moisturizers

*Disclosure- Product was provided by the brand for review purposes.

If you were to ask me what my least favorite product would be the answer would probably be lotion. The only time I really appreciated lotion was when I went to the US during the dead of winter. Back then I used to apply lotion religiously because it meant saving my skin from horrible winter itch.

But the same does not hold true in our muggy archipelago. I let my bottles of  (mostly pasalubong) lotion pile up without a care because no way will I be slathering them on only to feel hot and sticky a few minutes later. However, going around this whole summer clad  primarily in flipflops has taken a toll on my feet. Dry? Check! Ashy? Check! Looks like we need some big time intervention here.

Thus it was almost as if fate smiled upon me when I received a huge bottle of Jergens Naturals Refresh.

Made from aloe vera, mint leaf and white tea extracts, this light body lotion feels cool on skin and has a nice fresh smell to it. If there was such a thing as a summer lotion, then this would probably be it.

I apply it liberally on my feet right before sleeping and wake up with smoother and less sorry looking feet. Some people suggest putting on socks right after applying lotion to lock in the moisture, but it's just too hot these days to wear socks to bed!

My hands are also benefiting from this body lotion. The lightweight formula quickly sinks into skin without a greasy feeling, so I apply a pump-full after handling skin drying  laundry detergent and dish washing liquid. Goodby dishwasher hands!

Aside from Refresh, the other Jergens Naturals variants are:

  1. Hydrate- jojoba oil, agave and cactus extracts.

  2. Renew-grapeseed oil, blueberry and pomegranate extracts.

  3. Soothe- yogurt, chamomile and soy extracts.

*All four Jergens Naturals variants are available in selected department stores, supermarkets, hypermarkets, H&B and PX stores. SRP to be provided soon.

I feel the opposite about lotions. I can't get enough of them. People call me the lotion girl because of it. :) I haven't tried these new products from Jergens but I'm sure it smells and feels great too. I have a handy Jergens lotion Original scent always on hand.

You're the only one I know in the Philippines who's into lotions:p Let me take a wild guess, you work in a freezing environment?:)

hi jill.

i know what you mean about allowing pasalubong lotion to just pile up cause lotion in this heat is crazy. however, after i burned myself to a crisp, i had no choice but to slather on lotion if only to help my skin in the healing process. i tried on a trick i read before in a magazine which is to put the lotion inside the ref so that when you slather it on, it'll be cool on the skin and by the time you feel hot once more, your body would've absorbed the lotion. well, i must admit it worked for me so i'm much better at putting on lotion now. why don't you try it too.

Hi Rosa,

That sounds like a great idea! I'm definitely storing my lotion in the ref from now on (I hope Gary won't think it's too weird though:p)

Natural Products make such a difference so your skin, it is also reassuring to know for definite that there are no extra chemicals that you are applying to your skin that you don't know what they are and what they can do.

Yup I agree. It's great that people are so much more health conscious these days.
