Road Testing Ban Antiperspirant and Deodorant

Ban was probably the first deodorant I ever tried after I saw my father putting the cream deodorant on his pits while he gussied himself up after taking a shower.

So there I was, rubbing deodorant cream on my 10 year old armpits and I remember being pleased with myself for having minty fresh pits. Fast-forward to 20++ years later and I see the familiar logo but now in a roll-on and stick formulation. Hello old friend!

I've been using the antiperspirant/ deodorant roll-on for the past few weeks. I had it on while juggling wedding preparations, blogger events and a week-long funeral, in what could possibly our hottest summer ever (I believe you Mr. Gore). And wouldn't you know it, I stayed dry and fresh even with the unbelievable heat and humidity of this blasted summer.

Aside from keeping me dry, what I really like about Ban is how it has no strong smell. One of my pet peeves is smelling a person's deodorant when he/she hovers near me. Sure, it means that the person takes his/her hygiene seriously, but you don't have to take it THAT seriously!

I tried the Regular formulation in roll-on form and I was pleased with how quickly it dried, leaving my clothes streak/ stain free and my armpits feeling softer, with no overpowering scent. It doesn't say so in the press kit but I wonder if there are some skin moisturizing ingredients thrown in there as well.

To end this review, I would have to say that I'm very happy that Ban is back in our sunny shores and I am glad to be reacquainted with it once more. Although I wonder what happened to the cream formula?

*Ban deodorants in Roll-on, Invisible Solid and Clear Gel are available in SM Dept. Stores, Supermarkets and Hypermarkets.

Hi Yves,

I already asked my Ban contact to specify where it is available. I was in Watson's Bf Homes Paranaque today and asked about Ban, sadly, they didn't know what it was and if they were getting stocks soon.

I will update this post once my Ban contact replies to my email.
