Christmas Shopping with a Click
I had a good headstart on my Christmas shopping during my months of unemployment earlier this year. All that time spent at the mall yielded a bag full of trinkets and products helping me cross out a significant number of names on my Christmas list.

But there are still some names left unchecked and since I'd rather veg out on weekends than brave the now packed malls, internet shopping will once again save me.
First up on my list of online shops is Leyende. The good thing about Leyende is that not only does it have high quality organic products, it also has fantastic packaging. This year, Leyende has come up with gift packs that takes the stress and guess work out of Christmas shopping.
The Constant Gardener gift set (Php950.00) is a great idea for a loved one or colleague with a green thumb. The cleverly packed gift set will keep your favorite green guy/girl protected while he/she putters around in the garden.

The Art of Losing Yourself (Php950.00) is all about pampering and more pampering. Perfect for your stressed out friend and a timely reminder for her to slow down a bit.

Gawad Kalinga's line of body products, Human Nature, also carries organic products in special gift sets for easy gift giving. I like the Kid's Care Pack (Php219.00) which contains a bug spray, baby shampoo and pocket soap.

The Lip Saver's Kit (Php129.75) will be a great gift for officemates and acquaintances. If you want to stretch your budget even more, hand out one lip balm instead of the set of three BUT make sure to put a bright bow on i, you don't want to appear too cheap:p

Of course, you yourself also deserve a gift this Christmas (because you've been ever so good this year!) and so why not splurge on good health and invest on yoga accessories from Nike's Dynamic Yoga Training Collection. I'm not sure though if these yoga items can also be bought online, so you may have to brave the malls for these. Eeep.

So there, happy Christmas shopping everyone! Don't let the long lines and irate last minute shoppers get to you!

I recently read this book, Not Just a Pretty Face: The Ugly Side of the Beauty Industry by Stacy Malkan (you can get it at Fully Booked at the Fort) and since then, I've been trying to cut down on my cosmetics use for fear of parabens and xenoestrogens. Unfortunately, I just started a healthy makeup addiction and now I had my hair digipermed, which means I can't avoid mousse and conditioners. It's good to know we have organic products in the Philippines that's ridiculously cheap! I'm totally filling up my shopping cart right now, lol.
Hehe, I work for Human Nature-- so glad you liked the set! :D I highly recommend the lip balms as they don't leave sticky residues and are way cheaper than *ahem ahem* Burt's Bees. XD
My mom (the organic queen:p) just stacked up on Human Nature products so I'll wade through her stash and look for the lipbalms :) Thanks for the heads up!
