Munching on Amazing Cones

By Jillsabs - Posted on 06 October 2009

I noticed the Amazing Cones food stall in Alabang Town Center a few weeks back but I was always turned off by the long line. Then just this weekend, there was no line whatsoever so I finally seized the opportunity to try out a pizza cone.

I chose the garlic, cheese and tomato pizza cone because it had my top three favorite pizza ingredients ever. Seriously, keep the pepperoni, I'm happy with just garlic, cheese and tomato.

After the attendant filled the cone with the "toppings", she placed it in this merry-go-round kind of oven. The machine then started moving and the pizza cone disappeared behind this wall. When it came out, the pita bread was warm, while the cheese was all gooey and melted. I'm drooling now just thinking about it:p

The best thing about the pizza cone is its portability. I nibbled on it while walking around the mall. There was no spillage of any sort nor any of my usual food accident (my latest one being the glass of pineapple juice I spilled on my lap two weeks ago). At 60p/75p per cone, it's not exactly the cheapest snack available, but it's still a healthier alternative to the usual fastfood joints. One cone makes for a light snack, something to keep the hunger pangs at bay when it's too early for dinner, but too late for lunch.

The mini-desserts also look promising and next time I'll probably try the apple pie. mmmmmm....
