Avon Glazewear Dimensions Lipstick
I am slightly lipstick phobic, I think this is because the first tube of lipstick I tried on (while playing dress-up!:p) was my lola's deep crimson one and it was waxy, heavy and had a very weird taste. Blech! Soon after, I gave lippies another try when I discovered lip balms and lipglosses.

I like lipgloss because it makes my thin lips appear fuller than they actually are, and unlike waxy flavored lipsticks, lipglosses are generally tasteless or fruity flavored. But the recent launch of Avon Glazewear Dimensions Lipstick has made me rethink my initial stand on lipsticks because it's nothing like my lola's old school tube. Of course, it helps that Glazewear Dimensions Lipstick feels as light as a lipgloss but with the creamy consistency of a lipstick. In short, it's some kind of a mutant hybrid.
Glazewear Dimensions Lipstick translates to a sheer and shiny wash on the lips. The colors are very subtle and more lipgloss-y than lipstick, so most skin tones can probably pull off wearing the entire range of shades.

The press release says that it shines like diamonds and that is is "Infused with brilliant pearls that change color with every angle". Hmmm....I'm not so sure about the changing color with every angle, but there are indeed a lot of sparkly bits to it. In fact, long after the lipstick has faded, my lips still had traces of glitter to them.
Speaking of fading, Glazewear Dimensions Lipstick needs a boost in the longevity department because it doesn't seem to last that long. But the tube is pretty small and slim, so it's easy to tuck it in your pocket for a quick retouch as needed.
I'm giving Glazewear Dimensions Lipstick a solid 4/5. It's a creamy lipstick that doesn't feel heavy on the lips and with as much shine as a lipgloss. But the staying power is a little on the weak side so a point off for that.

A tube retails for Php375 but will be on sale for only Php249 from August 16 to September 15, 2009. The 10 shades are: Shiny Rouge, Spotlight Coral, Pink Glimmer, Violet Shine, Terracotta Shine, Sparkling Plum, Pink Sugar, Nude Gold, Rose with Gold, Sequins Pink. Available through your friendly Avon lady. Call Customer Hotline 8642900 or log on to www.avon.com.ph to find out how you can get in touch with an Avon Lady.
We'll be raffling away tubes of Glazewear Dimensions really, really soon so please watch out for that!

I'm into matte lipstick, but when I saw the advertisement of Avon, I want to try it, the Avon Glazewear Dimensions Lipstick. I want to try the glazewear effect that they bragging and I want a different effect from what I used to wear. I hope Avon glazewear can make my lips look more radiant and shiny.
I used to be a lipstick person too when matte revlon lipstick were in vogue untilabout five years ago when glossies gained popularity and the lancome juicy's came along. Lipsticks tend to stick to my teeth, quite yucky but then there was no other option back then...
You're right, glossies dont last that long, but that's simply because its components do not contain as much lead as lipsticks does hence it easily wear off but still now I prefer glossies than lipsticks because it looks much more natural.
So, if Glazewear Dimension Lipstick promises to have the best qualities of a lipstick and gloss in one stick, I will order it from my Avon Lady immediately. I will get Pink Glimmer for a starter, just love pink!
i've been a lipstick person all my life and i do hope i get to be one of the lucky ones to try this one for free ;-)
I cant wait for this! I'm a fan glazewear line and I've been wondering how this compares to the original one.
