bloody messes

have you ever had an accident during your time of the month? here's something i posted on mom exchange that might be helpful: sometime last month, my son's nose bled really bad. he got blood all over his uniform. i always thought that once the blood dries, there was no hope of washing it out. my dad ended up throwing away his uniform that day. last thursday, mick's nose bled again...this time during school. what a waste if i had to throw away another uniform set. uniforms aren't cheap. i googled "how to wash blood off of clothes" and found a very helpful post. i tried the hydrogen peroxide tip and it worked! wish i googled the topic sooner. anyways, here's what one person wrote:
To clean blood stains from clothes pour Hydrogen Peroxide directly on the stain and allow to foam, before washing. The peroxide will break down the protein in the blood and release the stain.
hope this helps!
