Dr. Scholl's Party Feet

Every physician and podiatrist can immediately tell you the toll that wearing high heels can take on your legs. The term "killer heels" is a double entendre. It can mean that your legs will look hot and slender in those stillettos but it also means that wearing that same pair can give you major leg strain, back aches, humongous callouses etc. etc. Still, women flock towards their two main men: Manolo and Jimmy. To paraphrase Lola in Kinky Boots: Heels are all about sex. And don't we all love looking like little sexpots strutting around in our heels? :)
If you're not comfortable with taking extreme measures for the sake of wearing your favorite stillettos, then shoe inserts may just be the thing to save your sole. Of the many brands of shoe inserts available in the market, Lily Pads and Dr. Scholl's Party Feet stand out for being primarily geared towards the feminine market. The other brands are mostly designed for active wear while these two have taken the female consumer in mind. Take note of the different variations (for strappy shoes, for open toed sandals, for boots etc) and the very pretty packaging. It takes no rocket scientist to know whom they're intended for. I've personally tried Dr. Scholl's Party Feet on a pair of 3 inch stillettos. The gel pads are placed on the front area, smooth side down, and they stick there the whole day. Fears of gel pads suddenly flying out at inopportune times can be safely laid to rest. These gel pads are transferrable and can be used for different pairs of shoes. You just have to rinse and dry them first before using them on another pair and you're good to go. This versatility is the Party Feet's biggest advantage over Lily Pads which are permanently stuck on the shoe footbeds. One thing though with the Party Feet is that they also act as shoe corks hence they can increase your shoe size. I suggest bringing along a pair of Party Feet when shopping for heels, that way you can take them into consideration when choosing the right size. The Party Feet ranges from 509p to a whopping 640p. The 509p is available at Mercury Drug Store while the rip-off more expensive one is available at PCX Glorietta. Take note though that they're the same products, PCX Glorietta just decided to overprice their stock by almost 140p. You have been been forewarned.

Thanks for this post, Jill! I'm terribly flat-footed it's not even funny. I dream of wearing stilettos pero I feel like my poor arch-less feet will not be able to take it :( I need all the help I can get, so this sounds perfect for me.
